Used to work fabulously a few months ago, attempted to replay this on same PC and BAM I get small glitchy top left corner video and no game.

Come on man, don't release patches or updates without testing.

I'm not the only one with the issue either. Get on it!
Glad Im not the only one experiencing this, Please fix GOG!!!

I have been able to work around it by running the game in windowed mode, however it is a pain in the ass.

It's possible they they changed the renderer to one that now supports 1080p resolutions.

Been a while since I played their version so I'm not sure it always had the option to go that far in resolutions.
Same here trying to run the game at 4k. The tool you can download TA_Resolution.exe says it cant find the game path when installing it through Galaxy.

I just installed and have the same problems as everyone else on my W7 machine.

How did you get it to run in Windows mode?
Try the community patch on tauniverse.
Same problem, I think, on my Mac running OS 10.8.5. When I launch the game, I hear the sound, but see everything but the game. The desktop, other applications, just splattered randomly in chunks all over the screen. Including windows from applications that I've already closed, which is just weird.
I am pretty upset about this.

EDIT: oops, I seem to have gotten it working, except only in a tiny window, with instructions from another thread on here, which I am not allowed to link to for some reason? But it's from a two-year-old Mac issue, so I dunno. Either it was never fixed, or this is a new problem that I sort of worked around with the same solution.

I just tried to play now through Galaxy and I haven't had this issue; TA has native support for 1080p in game (not in menus though) so I don't think they changed anything.

There might be a setting in your video card control panel that causes your monitor to scale lower resolutions rather than stretch them, causing the menu and movies to be small.
Same here. I just bought the game and I get a scrambled intro video and a black screen afterwards. Can't get into the game at all. I opened a support ticket - hope they can fix it.

Edit: I found a solution: I had Nvidias Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) activated in the Nvidia Control Panel. After deactivating DSR I could start the game normally and select my native resolution. It works just fine, now.
