Alright, so I am a huge TA fan who has Windows 7 64 bit on a laptop. Now I am seeing mixed things about how it works for some people but not for others. If I download this from GoG am I going to have to amend my laptop in such a way as to damage it just to play this game or doe sit work properly? Thank you very much and Merry Chistmas everyone!

Apparently it does. Although to avoid visual glitches, you'll need to turn off W7's dynamic desktop backgrounds and use a plain image.

I've run it on two different machines running Windows 7 64-bit. They both work fine for me.

On one or two occasions I've had the colors invert on me mid game (with a Geforce 240) which was fixed by just alt-tabbing out and back into the game.

I've gotten flicker a few times as well (with a Radeon 4850). In those cases I saved and reloaded, but it certainly doesn't happen regularly for me.

I am running windows 7 in a vmware fusion 4.1.1 instance Mac OSX 10.6.8. I had to set my native resolution to 1600x1200 (from 1920x1200) and run TA in windowed mode, append -d to args in shortcut.

Mouse lags, which is kinda a pain. But it does work.

Works perfectly for me on Windows 7 x64. There's an occasional flickering but it happens like once in fifteen minutes for one second, so it's really no problem at all.
