Hi! I just purchased and installed the game but I cant launch it. When I click play, the cursor turns into a lloading icon for a split second and returns yo notrmal. the play button will then turn back green and nothing will happen. I checked my task manager but nothing relted is running.\

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm running an acer laptop, windows 10.



EDIT: Fixed, not sure how to delete. Direct X was off.

im having the same issue. running win10 on my desktop and it doesnt run. I dont see my DX off...i tried double-clicking the game desktop icon aswell and get an error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application."

I'm having this same problem, no clue what to do!

In the Control Panel (not Settings), go to Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on and Off. Open the Legacy Components section and tick DirectPlay.

I'm using win 10 and what used to happen to me was that I would click the play button, you would get the 'circle' then nothing would happen, and the button would turn green again. Following this advice I'm now able to play at 1920 x 1080 if I so wish. I'll probably reduce it as it is a bit smallish on my tv. Anyway I'm SO grateful for this this advice restoring a great game to it's rightful place! Thanks
