I am currently playing TA on 64-bit Windows Vista and sometimes when i try to load a previous skirmish game everything would load, then the screen goes black and then game crashes and brings me back to the desktop.

Even when i try to disable any uneeded programs in the background and restart the game, the saved game file is good as gone =(

I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem =(
Are you running the game as an administrator?

I tried that but i still get the same thing =(
I have this in about every 1 in 3 saves from Skirmish games. Windows 7 64Bit.
My current solution is to save three times and load the game back in before quitting. This seems to eliminate the problem.
happens to me too.
Strange, I've not seen this problem. Then again I've used Windows XP. Does it happen with campaign\scenario missions?
This just happened to me this morning I had a real good skirmish going and I can't get back to it. as soon my saved file loads the game crashes

Does this issue exist in the Total Annihilation Kingdoms game, or just in the original Total Annihilation game?

Did you ever solve this? I'm getting the same problem! Saved game is visible in skirmish menu, but program crashes as soon as I try to load the saved game.
Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but I've just come across this as I'm having the same issue. I'm 2 hours into a skirmish and now it won't load on the third attempt.

I've got TA ESC 9.9.0, see log details below..

I'm hoping there is a way to get around this, I think I was just about to win :-\
