Thanks to GoG for reviving this legendary classic, and even more of a bigger thanks for including the almost-extinct expansions!
This is game was one of the first of it's kind in terms of graphics and scale. Total Annihilation was one of the first games to incorporate 3d models into an RTS title and also one of the first to introduce battles on a truly epic scale. This game truly is amazing. It's got hundreds of land, sea, and air units, but best of all; a truly awesome scale in whichs hundreds of units all at once can duke it out in epic battles. One neat little bonus I wasn't expecting was the fact that this game has awesome native-resolution/widescreen support.
Another great aspect of these games are the mods. There are about 6000 different units in the game when you include all the countless mods out there! But the most notable mod is the "TA Spring" mod. This mod transforms the game into an awesome 3D RTS ! If you truly are a fan of strategy gaming, then this gem is definite must buy.
