I've been reading about a similar problem on other forums and will get down on my knees and worship anyone who can help me!

I fought the Peerless robots and am having a similar problem to others I've read of where I now can't save. I'm playing on a PC under Windows 10 and have experienced no problems so far. I only bought it in February and didn't start playing it till a few weeks ago, so I don't think there's an issue with old corrupted saves.

In addition to not being able to save normally, I'm not sure the quicksave works. On top of this, I had to massage the game a bit to get my party out of combat mode. It was acting like it was Oom's turn, and somehow Maktina had dropped out of the crisis menu at the top of the screen (other party member is Algieri). I can not move around if I can find a clickable spot, but if I just point and click, I get the "unreachable" screen message. I hoped getting back to the Order of Truth and reporting back would fix at least this part of the problem but the onscreen figures are still in their combat postures. And still the only way to get them to move is to click on something clickable. I've tried sleeping, moving from area to area, talking to Qorro, leveling my characters up, looking at my loot from the quest. Running out of things to try and am not sure if the better option is to keep playing till I can save or to redo the battle.

Only other oddity about the battle was that once the robots were down but the crisis screen wouldn't resovle, I went upstairs and talked to Qorro. At that point I got the "quest completed" message even though I hadn't purged all 3 terminals of the Peerless program.

Anyway, help?

I think the peerless quest ("Anechoic Lazaret", or whatever) is super bugged and probably should be avoided. In my playthrough I also encountered exactly this problem, where crisis mode sort of only half ends - characters still run around with their weapons out, and the save button is disabled.

I think this is a different problem from the one described on the Steam forums where one would need to edit game files.

In my case I retried the quest a number of times and noted that it had something to do with the drones on my side of the battle. Sometimes, if I disabled a console some drones would end up on my side, while other times they would end disabled. Occasionally the game froze as a disabled drone would get its turn and it would just hang there without continuing, but most of the time I would disable all three consoles and be stuck in the "half-crisis" mode.

In the end one of my attempts ended with me disabling all thee consoles and crisis ending normally. I think this was because the peerless drones had managed to kill all the active drones on my side, so when I disabled the last console the crisis would end normally.

Anyway, this seemed mostly luck because I tried the quest like 6 or 7 times.

I think another way to solve it might be to just start another crisis - for example with Qorro and then maybe crisis will end at the end of that?
