Will Torchlight 2 be available on GoG's catalog after release? Just asking to see whether or not I pre-order somewhere else or wait until release and buy it on GoG.
Thanks!

I hope yes, but I think that TL2 will be on Gog before 1-2 years.

However, when TL2 will arrive, I'll buy to support both Gog and Runic Games!
I do hope they'll even have it for pre-order sooner or later, but there's an ever smaller chance of that...
It never hurts voting for it, if you haven't already. :)

Vote Torchlight II on GOG
was wondering about this game. vote definitely added.
I'm telling you right now, I won't be buying Torchlight II anywhere OTHER than GOG. The only possibly DRM-free version that's been announced so far is the retail German version, and that's way too much trouble.
The developers said that there won't be a DRM-free version of GOG on launch day. I hope that in the near future we'll see something like that. I think I wait until then. :)
I wish they'd just charge us like 10 bucks more for a DRM-free version. I'd pay it.
Is there a chance to see TL2 on GOG? I just finished TL1 and I would love to support a DRM-free version of TL2.

Sure, I could download it from their own website, but I think, it would be no big problem, to offer this access also on GOG!

Why? Because with this approach, you could connect TL2 to the GOG community and we all love "good old games" (old in this context: good classic gameplay).

The problem when I buy it on the Runic website: no connectivity to my GOG library and if it will be ever released on GOG and I buy it on the Runic website, there will be no chance to add the game on my own GOG list. :-(

Steam's $5 sale is about to end. I'm hoping that gog has some deal where they're allowed to sell it after that's over, but I'm just making stuff up.

T2 does seem like a big improvement over T1. I'm not super deep into it, but the balance feels a bit more right this time, and it seems like it would play well in multiplayer.

It's not that GOG is not allowed to sell TL2, it's about TL2 being too deeply integrated with Steam - Steam Workshop for one, many other functions simply would require too much work (meaning too much money to make back the cost). So I wouldn't hold my breath, grab TL2 where it's available.
When you buy Torchlight 2 from Runic's website or in retail it doesn't require Steam (although it has its own DRM), so in theis case Steam is not the problem. Runic is the problem.
