Refer images. These always happen a few moments into the game. I have to restart the game every time they happen. I've tried playing around with in game settings but nothing seems to effect.
I have an AMD HD 8xxx series card on a laptop. My drivers are all up to date

I have torchlight 2 but I've never seen this problem even though both use the same engine
