I finished a normal playthrough with berserker a few days ago and the save is gone missing. Now when I log in my berserker is lvl 16 again. Apparently the save has disappeared and I was wondering if there is any way to recover that? Is this a common bug even with GOG cloud save? If so, I doubt I want to keep grinding a game that couldn't remember the proper progression.

I just had the same problem a couple days ago: I created a character and had one playthrough. Today there is no character anymore.

This topic helped me on the GOG forum : How to transfer steam saves to the gog version.

I copied the following files from modsave file : shared stash, character, character's pet and backup.tmp to the save file and it was here again.

Yeah it screwed me over too. Lost like 3 hours of progress. Uninstall.

Where is the game installed? Is it installed into my programs?

Windows can be very mean about rights and can delete stuff there.
