Not to mention the fact that they keep throwing out release estimates that come and go, rather than giving a solid "we have no clue" answer. I still bought the GOG in addition to my boxed copy, but Runic isn't really impressing me with their attitude thus far.

It's disappointing, considering TL2 will be a hell of a lot closer to a Diablo sequel than the game that the pale husk of Blizzard decided to make. It will keep me until grim dawn at least.

mqstout: "no matter what, we're releasing it with DRM and there will be no DRM-free versions"
What a load of bull! I mean Torchlight is for free if you pre-order Torchlight 2 on Steam but it is also on GOG for people who don't like DRM.

In other words, you can get TL for free on Steam or pay for it on GOG if you don't like DRM but we will never release TL2 DRM free? A bit silly, isn't it?

Axios2011: For example I have 3 copies of Torchlight: retail, Steam and Gog.

MihaiHornet: I have only 2, retail and GOG. My philosophy is to support nice developers and publishers. :)

I hope Torchlight 2 will arrive eventually on GOG because I don't do Steam. I'm considering buying it directly fro Runic.

BTW do you know about Grim Dawn? If not I think you will like it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I already knew it. I think that I will try it. My only doubt is the graphic engine...
Did you ever play Titan Quest? Grim Dawn is that engine.

The same guys and an improved engine ;)

"In mid-2009 Crate Entertainment acquired the rights to the Titan Quest engine and began development of a new ARPG called Grim Dawn." (Kickstarter Grim Dawn home page)

Edit: Fixed "engine" typo.

Improved enough to convince me to pre-order. And it's not even alpha. :)

Edit: Same fix here. :)
