Looks like fun! Will watch it in the hope that it's a genuinely good (not hoping for great, but good would be better than the previous Tomb Raider movies) film that stands on its own.
Shame the story is predictable but oh well - Tomb Raider has rarely been about the story. If they're smart there'll be a twist not shown in the trailer.

Of course, anyone looking for an actual faithful adaptation of the original classics is deluding themselves big time. Such an approach won't happen, not least because it most likely CANNOT work: the original Tomb Raider games may have taken some cues from the cinema, but they are pure videogame products and work as such.

It's based on the 2013 game so I'm guessing there will be a lot of ancient Japanese curses and cultists that aren't hinted at in the trailer. We'll see how close of an adaptation it is.
