Please add an option to disable fixed camera events, something that is necessary when using the modern controls. Or just disable fixed camera events period (minus switch related camera changes, like when you press a button and it shows a door opening) when modern controls are enabled.

Can't count the number of times a fixed camera event f***ed me over.

Don't know why the remasters didn't launch with this option, seems pretty obvious.

I know you can draw your weapon (when possible) to restore the camera, but that only mitigates it at best.
