Hi all,

I've just purchased the collection for my mum's birthday and am having trouble getting the games to work on her computer. It's a few month old ACER running win 7 Home Premium 64bit. I think the main issue is that I can't get the universal patch to install, it keeps giving me the incompatible version error. I've tried downloading a few times, reinstalled several times etc. etc. We did have an original install of TR3 from the game disc, but that is now uninstalled and the system restarted, then a fresh install of the gog version but still no luck.

Specifically though, TR1 plays the intro movies but then refuses to launch the game properly, we just get a black screen with snatches of sound.
TR2 and TR3 don't play the intro movies, but the actual game works fine (although I did destroy the screen resolution settings trying to kill the first tiger in TR2 with the old ctrl+alt+direction shortcut xD).

Help will be greatly appreciated!

Update:

I've now installed the games on another computer in the house and all work fine, after initial set-up (I got the 'failed to initialise' error.) This computer is also running Win7 Home Premium 64bit, and has a Radeon HD 5450.

Tomb Raider 1 - I reach the main menu but when I launch game (either Lara's home or Main game) it gets stuck just before it loads the cut scene. At this point, if I do ALT CTRL DEL and launch task manager, the cut scene loads in a game window and the game resumes. After this, I can start playing the game in windowed mode. Or, I can save it. Quit TR1 entirely and re-launch and resume from the saved game and I get full screen gameplay.
