On Thursday I could press shift, then numpad direction, and I walked or sidestepped.
Today (Monday) I have to press numpad direction first, then shift to walk or sidestep.
I don't think I'll be able to play the game like this. Two things changed since then: I pressed SHIFT for too long once, and then I just closed the window that popped up. I didn't experience any changes since then. SHIFT works perfectly outside of TR 3.
I also connected a gamepad (Logitech 310), I'm trying to map the keys on it to play Tomb Raider 3, because I thought it would be easier than using the numpad.
Now, if I run TR1, the problem is only there when I use the controller mapped to the keys, but the keyboard itself is working. But in TR3, the keyboard itself doesn't work.
I'm on the verge of giving up.
