Alright, so I want to play TR1 in with the native aspect ratio, 4:3, yet also, I want to play in 1080. I have not found out a way to do this. My screen use resolution 1920x1080, so when I play the game in fullscreen, it is stretched out, which consequently burns my eyes out. In the graphics setup there is no resolution option for 1440x1080, and although I enable 'Keep aspect ratio' I still get the stretched out widescreen look. I have tried to edit glide.ini in the TR1 folder, but gave me a fruitless result.

So basically my question is; How to play in 1440:1080?

It can be done with nGlide's configurator but I don't know if the GOG version comes with that, otherwise you have to install it manually.
Yeah, I may not have made myself perfectly clear on the matter; what I meant was not to 3D render in 1080, rather that I do not want it strectched horizontally.

thanks for your answer anyway, but I don't feel so adventurous :) I really dislike the DOSBOX is included in the GOG-version. Can I play the game with my other DOSBOX?
Try this in the graphics setup: select 1920x1080 resolution, select overlay output and keep aspect ratio checked.

This should work.

I'm not sure why they would in any way be different. But yes, you can. When you install the game, there's an option to specify the location of an existing DOSBox install. It should work, although sometimes if your DOSBox is a newer version than the one that comes with the GOG installer it will fail the version check. In that case you can trick it by swapping the older dosbox.exe in temporarily.

Even if you use your existing DOSBox install, though, GOG will still create a specialized configuration file for Tomb Raider. This will override any global config you have when you run the game, although I'm sure you can get around that by renaming the config file or changing the commands on the launch shortcut.
