hi how is it going I have downloaded tomb raider 1+2+3+4+5 yesterday and everything seem to work fine except tomb raider 2 and 5, tomb raider 2 problem is a really famous bug that loops the music over and over again (for example)
I played the first level of tomb raider 2 (the great wall) and when i picked up the first dragon secret the secret sound effect loops and repeats over and over again its really annoying and it doesn't stop until the next sound effect triggers making the game unplayable, i heard that GOG made a patch for it and placed it in the 2.0.0.7 version but i have that version and the problem is there,, now for the chronicles graphics problem basically when i launch the game its launches in a really smaaaalllll window and the graphics is really baaad ( basically like minecraft and maybe worst)
and when i first installed the game and played it it didn't bring up the setup window,

I cant even start Tomb Raider 5...I get passed the Edios screen and then just black...nothing!

Add to that I have a really strange audio problem in TR2, basically after a audio track has been triggered (secret pick up or a music trigger area) the next audio track seems to be a random one and not the original that should be played.

For example:

In the 1st level the Great Wall the wind background audio plays, after picking up a secret the wind audio does not start playing again but it will be some other audio track unrelated to the level.
Also coming out of the first tower at the great wall and when the 3 birds appear the music is triggered, but after it has finished it starts playing the Oil Rig background audio.

i am running version 2.1.0.11 of the installer.

I've noticed the Oil Rig track playing in China too, after the birds' attack. It sounded quite out of place given the setting... I'm currently playing The Deck and there's another oddity - a foreboding track is followed by a much more techno one (that fits somehow with a fight scene, but it doesn't sound quite right in this place), they are respectively tracks 47 and 48 in the 'music' folder. And I'm pretty sure at times the game does play one track after another and it doesn't sound quite right either. Also, in Lara's house, she directly gives two instructions in a row, while I've not moved at all.

I don't have any issue with loops though, it's just, as you say, a strange issue there. I'm also using installer 2.1.0.11. It's rarely distracting and the music generally sets the tone right, but still, it sounds like the game often plays tracks by pairs.

Edit: and when I reach the garden after the training part, the game triggers what seems to be a cutscene track - 26 in 'music' folder, 25 being the last sentence from Lara, 'Feel free to explore the rest of the house and gardens'. so whenever I walk past the last training boxes before the garden, there's 25 playing and... 26 from whatever cutscene playing afterwards (which makes for a very noisy garden by the way!). Then, all goes back to normal. Loading the Deck again, it's the same thing with ambient track, one track after another rather than repeating the same ambient track all along (as in TR1), as in '1-2 / 1-2...' rather than 1 only.

Edit 2: I've just tried the Multi Patch and... now the tracks play as expected! However, I've checked the option to 'extract updates to Desktop' as at first the game was behaving the same with the option 'TR2 update' - it seems the MultiPatch doesn't work 100% this way (tried with an iso file with all TR2 files in it!). So I just unchecked/skipped the main update component (it will warn you about files from the CD but you can actually safely skip this), and copy-pasted the files from the desktop/TR2 folder to the actual game folder.

(and with the MultiPatch files, when the camera 'surfaces'/goes out of water, tracks play back immediately, not after 0.5 sec. Nitpicking here!)
