Both game's seem to crash for me on the intro's. I already tired the Data Execution fixed but still not working for me. I'm on windows 10

Same here with Windows 7 for me, I wish there was another solution, just got the game today and I was excited to play it again but for some reason it just takes me back to the desktop after intro, and yeah, the Data Execution Prevention thing didn't work for me either, so I guess we're on the same boat here, and I'm glad that you bought this to attention.

Well good to know it's not just me. I already emailed GOG support about this issue. Maybe I'll something back soon.

Looking forward to it, I have this game on steam and the last time I played it was 4 years ago because it worked just because I did the data execution prevention thing, and I was also hoping that at some point TR Anniversary and TR Legend would make it's way here, (in which it did) and I was excited so I bought both of them and was excited to play it again until I had to deal with the crash lol.

I had the same error in the playable demo of Warlock 2. Game is starting and it want to start in fullscreen, but short after the windows minimized and couldn't play the demo. After several times of try it worked for me and i could play it normally.

Ok I found a solution, so what I did was I disabled my virus protection, and enabled DEP back and rebooted and then it worked for me, good luck to you man.

Wow that actually work for me!! I had issue like this with Ground control 2. My virus protection,was making the game freeze ever 3 or 5 seconds. Thank you!! Now I have to fixed the black screen error after the intros on Legend. lol

Edit: Now the character model is not showing for me. Both games are broken mess. Dose GOG have anyone testing the games?

Try to delete the respective Tomb Raider Folder into "My Documents\Eidos" where the saves and configs are stored. specially if you had installed a previous version like the Steam one or retail. When you unninstall the game those folders are not deleted and it can be used in newer installations and probably causing problems.

Yesterday I had problems with Anniversary and that's the way I solved my problems.

Then I remembered a possile reason for that. I had the game slightly tweaked to show more gaphical options into the configurator and apparently this was not good for the actual GOG version at least from scratch or at the first time launching of the game.

I was wondering if I was the only one that had this problem. for me it's a generic 0xC0000005 which I think is an access violation. no idea what's causing it since I already tried adjusting DEP.

Did you at least tried turning off virus protection?

Same issue here on Windows 8. I have EMET installed. Disabled all protections for that executable, tried different settings, but get the same result.

Alright, I got both game's working by turning off DEP in windows defender, under apps & browser control. Go to exploit protection and look for DEP, then restart. I was originally turning off DEP in Advanced system setting which did not work.

Hi. I encountered this same issue with Tomb Raider Legend but then I discovered the weirdest thing.

After I initially installed the game I was able to play it fine right away, but the next day I started having these exact issues (game starts, minimizes, hangs). I went through all the DEP and virus settings rigamarole without any luck.

So I gave up and put all the settings back where they had been previously, then I walked away from the game for a couple of days. When I tried again after about 48 hours, it suddenly worked.

After fiddling around a little, I discovered that I could get the game to work by doing a cold start of my laptop. Not by selecting "restart" from the power menu, but by selecting "shut down", completely shutting it down, waiting a few minutes, then booting from scratch. When I did that, this problem went away and I was able to play the game.

This is strange, and I don't know if this is unique to me, but I wanted to toss it into this thread so it's out there and googlable in case it might help someone. I'm running the game on an MSI GT63 with Windows 10.
