I installed Tomb Raider 1, but the sound is really crappy, I mean it has a lot of glitches, beeps, etc. I have a laptop with a IDT High Definition audio codec.
Please help me to solve this.

Thanks.
You could probably fix this by setting the audio prebuffer to a higher value in the .conf file in Tomb Raider 1's folder. Setting it to prebuffer=50 fixed it for me, but you might need a higher value (up to 100). Currently not at my PC, so I don't have the exact file names, but let me know if this works for you.

Thanks a lot.
I've tried different prebuffer values, but it happens the same... Anyway I know this game is very old, and emultion is not 100% perfect.
I guess I can't play Tomb Raider 1 with sound :(

And try doubling the blocksize (try with prebuffer=10). Does this do anything to the sound glitches? My guess would still be messing with the blocksize/prebuffer settings should be able to improve things.

I finally resolved the problem: I had to deactivate dolby home theater feature that my sound card has. Now the sound is OK.
Other problem is the game lags when you hold a key. This happens only when you customize controls, but if you use the default ones, it doesn't happen. I've read this problem is common in DOSBOX, so I tried with a newer version of DOSBOX and the keyboard problem is gone, BUT the custom Glide resolution fails. Well at least I can play.

Thanks sndwv. I hope this could help other users.
