I really wasn't sure whether to buy these games or not, because I looked at the topics here on the forum and saw the posts about how it was broken, GOG didn't bother to test it, blah blah blah... Needless to say, since I'm such a big TR fan, I took a risk and it paid off.

There WERE some problems at first, but they were easily fixed. TR1 had FMVs that worked fine, but the game itself was just a black window... I could hear Lara, but couldn't see anything. Running the desktop shortcut as an admin fixed that and I haven't had a single problem since (and as of this post, I've made it all the way to Egypt, so I'm almost at the end). TR2 just had glitchy FMVs, with a strange border appearing around the edges. Once again, running as an admin fixed this. TR3 didn't have any issues whatsoever.

So I'm basically writing this post for those who, like me, might be on the fence about getting these games. Take note of all the five star reviews this release is getting. The people with problems are very much in the minority, it seems.

For me to fix the TR1 issues i change too windowed mode and all the problems seem to disapear i hate playing in windowed mode but it works better now and doesn't seem to crash after cutscenes anymore :)

TR2 and 3 have always worked on my machine though i do have the FMV border issue i will trying running it as admin and see if that fixes the issue :)

thanks for the post, very useful the games aren't as bad as some people making them out to be, i think some of the bugs people are coming across are bugs found in the original games :)

-Edit-

Just checked if running in admin changes the issue with FMV's in my case it did not sadly :(

I'm getting semi-transparent bordered FMVs in TR2 and TR3, as well as frequent hard crashes in those games (it'll just crash and say 'This application has stopped working.' at seemingly random points)

TR1 works fine for me, but took some setting up (editing the dosbox conf to set the joypad timed setting to false, and changing the resolution, because the game and menus seem to run in different resolutions)

All in all... TR1 seems playable with some editing of files, but TR2/TR3 is messed up both in terms of cutscenes and game stability...

For Me TR3 runs the best, no weird FMV issue no hard crashes, put simply it just works.

TR2 has the FMV issue but it's never crashed yet and works really nicely

as for TR1 i have the most issue with it in particularly the game likes to crash at the end of a cutscene unless i skip through it. basically for me TR1 is the one i have the most issue with,
