I'm in the process of playing Tomb Raider 1 (again!), and I was wondering if there was a way to increase the graphics quality of the game?

Glidos is a great program that I use, unfortunately it's not free.
The nGlide shortcut in the Start Menu or installation folder lets you choose higher resolutions.

Actually improved textures require Glidos, as tinyE already mentioned.

I went into my Glidos to check the settings in case the OP is curious and inadvertently spent an hour playing the damn thing. :P Small wonder it's my favorite series.
Thanks all, I'll give Glidos a try. I've used it with my Tomb Raider PC disc, but wasn't sure if it would work with the GOG version or not. I'm a bit confused about it all as I've never used DOSBox before and am not sure how it works. Does Glidos work alongside the GOG Tomb Raider game, and do I just install it as normal? I have a pretty good gaming laptop and am dying to play it as it should be played!

Sorry TinyE, but Lara is so addictive! lol

You install it normal but there should be a specific GOG TR 1 preset option in the Glidos menu. The designer if it is evidently a fan of this place.

When you get Glidos and open it you get a select menu of games. Most games you need to set up yourself but a few, like TR1, he has done the grunt work and all that should be needed is to select it....I think. It's been a while since I actually set it up.

Hi.

I can't find the nGlide shortcut anywhere in the installation folder - any ideas? I've got the "Graphic Mode Setup" on my start menu but that only allows you to change resolution in windowed mode...

Any help would be greatly appeciated : )

I don't have the game installed at the moment but you can probably install nGlide manually and then use the shortcut it makes.

Find the "nglide_config.exe" somewhere in your system after nGlide installed. If using Windows 7 (+) press the WINDOWS button and in the 'search programs and files' searchbox type "nglide"...
