greywood: I have a good Logitech programmable joystick, and was wondering: does TOCA-3 provide a decent driving experience (or will it work at all) with a joystick? Or MUST I get a driving wheel (I won't even think about keyboard only). I'd love to get this game if I can use a joystick. Thanks for any feedback!
Answer YES.
I m using a cheap grade Logitech Attack 3.
(only because the old MS Sidewinder 3d pro does not freature USB)
Joystick is set as wheel and with "linearity" set on -2
I have the feeling to be in control in "Pro Sim" mode.
I can almost keep the road with the Lotus 49 F1 car
You can have a very good feeling of immersion of actually driving with a joystick if you take the time to find your settings.
The feeling is as real as it gets in a multi care multi style racing game unlike in for example NFS Shift.
