Eh... Moved house, been busy, the internet provider lied about the availablity (and before you ask, this post is from a phone).
And now i'm going to miss the window, i had earlier downloaded the files. Then uninstalled and deleted the files.
Its my own fault but i welcome any news that the download window might be canceled/extended as this is my sons favourite game.
Still, i can buy it elsewhere i guess, but in a way that a non cd microlaptop can use it?

Cause the game it's still showing up at this time (at least for me it is). Hurry up and download it.
EDIT: Sorry, just re read your post and understood that you can't download it right now.
As for news on a extension/cancellation of the download window, nothing yet.

If you have any friends you trust on your gog account you could ask them to login, download the game and burn it to a disc for you.

No one i can get in contact with is savvy enough. Ah well, no biggy. I wont discuss "thing which is banned" but i own license of the game. So i guess i could just give codies crap until they send me files, or something? Bleh.

Maybe some private p2p (or using some uninteresting file name and perhaps coded zipped file via torrent)? Would take some time but if you really own the game...

They still have it up so you can still download it. Not sure why it's not down or why other stores are still selling it but if you bought it then go into your account.
