Another 'Me too' post, to hype up the problem so that we get a fix soon :)
I am having the same problem. Hope it gets fixed, love zooming around the Titanic at 50mph again!
Experiencing the same issue. I will open a support ticket as well.

Hopefully you'll do better than I :) I've not heard anything from support at all but have just sent a reminder...

I received a response this morning and GOG was apologetic, offering a refund which I declined. I was told that they forwarded the issue to their QA team, but that "it might take a while for them to verify the issue and fix it if it's possible."

Take that as you will, I suppose. In this case, I don't think contacting support is a waste of time, so thanks to you and others who have taken the time to do so.

I've also got the same email when I logged on. I'll try the fixes they suggested over the weekend although I don't hold out much hope that those will fix it. I think it's more a job for QA as it seems that not all versions have this bug.

Thank you (and any others too) who contacted support, like you I feel that contacting them is never a waste of time :)

EDIT: Thought it might be helpful to post their suggestions in case anyone else want to give it a try;

1) Please make sure that you use "Run as Administrator" to install and to start the game (right-click on the shortcut or setup file and select "Run as Administrator").

2) Please reinstall the game AND add it to your anti-virus/firewall software's exception/trusted list. Simply disabling firewall or AV software could not be enough, since some of these software are running still in background or in services list. If you are using Galaxy, then please add Galaxy as well.

3) Please download and install DirectX Web Installer:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35

Please have in mind that this will only add DirectX 9.0c to available pool of DirectX libraries, and it will not overwrite your other versions. Some games are not able to utilize newer DirectX libraries, and they require DirectX 9.0c.

4) Please try to update your sound device drivers:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

If you are using surround sound system, please try to switch to stereo/2.1 sound. You should be able to do it using dedicated program to your sound device.
If you have any additional sound options enabled please make sure to disable them, or to switch your sound software to default.

This is an issue in the GOG version that really shouldn't exist at all.

There is a site that has set up a proper dosbox configuration for this game. Using that, the audio is perfect.

I won't link to it here since it includes the game files, but surely GOG could use the same settings for their version?

What's the website called? Hopefully I can fix this issue myself since GOG isn't doing anything about it.

Hi everyone, I had this issue and setting the process affinity to use a single CPU seems to have fixed it for me.

For some silly reason I can't post links, but if you search Google for "windows 10 set processor affinity permanently" you should find some instructions. Here is how to set it with a shortcut:

- Right click on your desktop and select "New" then "Shortcut".
- In the location box, enter:

cmd.exe /c start "Titanic" /affinity 1 "<path to TI.EXE>"

For example, mine is:
cmd.exe /c start "Titanic" /affinity 1 "D:\Games\Titanic Adventure Out of Time\TI.EXE"

Then click "Next" and name your shortcut "Titanic" or whatever you like.

If you're using any Windows compatibility mode features, you'll have to right click on the shortcut and choose "Run as administrator" or it won't actually set the affinity. I turned the compability features off and it still works fine.

Try a google search for titanic adventure offline.

"Titanic - Adventure out of time (Offline)

We are using DBGL (DOSBoxGameLauncher), which is a frontend for DosBox, to start the game.

Download and install DosBoxGameLauncher
Download one of the GamePackArchives files below without extracting it (taoot_*_offline.dbgl.zip)
Open DosBoxGameLauncher and import the downloaded file taoot_*_offline.dbgl.zip (Profiles -> Import ...)
Select the profile "Titanic - Adventure out of time" and hit the "Play" button."

GOG should use the same system. They use DOSBox for other programs.

Thanks for this, it does seem to have sorted the problem, cheers.

+1 and thanks!

This solved the problem of clipped dialogue for me as well, playing on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop with an i5 CPU with Intel HD graphics.
Wow. I had no idea you could set the affinity permanently. This helped me too.

Thanks!
I had this problem too.
OK for what do I set the process affinity to a single CPU? The GOG app or the Titanic game itself? Because I can't do it for the Titanic game as it takes up the screen, and every time I exit it won't show up in task manager cause the program is exited from.
