along with my wife, we're having some fun playing this game in LAN. All is fine, but we've had two strange occurences involving some kind of aura that suddenly affects us both when we get close together. It's totally random.

It's inflicting some amount of damage, regularly ; it's a bit like explosions of fire. Whenever we part, it stops. The only way to get rid of this is to start the server again.

I'm playing a Defender/Nature character, she has a Rogue/Earth one. We both use some benefactory auras, invoke some pets too... nohting that should be hurting anyone of us.

Does this ring any bell ? This never happened in the base games (TQ and IT), which we both played extensively without ever encountering this.

The fact that the effect causes damage to you and her dismisses this possibility.

My first thought was the Earth mastery of "Earth Enchantment" was being used by your wife at random. It imbues her weapon and the weapons of nearby allies with the power of rock and flame which, depending on your video card may or may not cause the glowing, fire effect on you when she activates it while you are nearby. It should not harm you so I doubt that is it if you are loosing health.

You could test it by having her activate it while you are near to see if that triggers the effect. If she has no points in Earth Enchantment then I doubt it producing the effect. Just something to try for elimination of the possible causes.

We indeed tried to activate all our abilities one by one, and nothing happened. As I said, the two occurences happened fairly randomly, but after already quite some game time, while all our abilities were activated.
