After installing the game on Windows 7 it refuses to start. Upon startup it complains that the file "MSVCR110.dll" cannot be found and that I should re-install it.
However re-installing it results in the same error.

I already installed the visual cpp stuff from microsoft but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

whitelist in antivirus?
It seems you're still missing vcredist stuff. Try installing 2005, 2008 and 2012 one of these should be missing and fix it when installed.
I have no antivirus program installed. And I already tried to install the vcredist stuff manually but the result remains the same. :-(

Well, currently I don't have time to fiddle with this but hopefully someday.

Sorry, but you're definitely missing one of the vcredists. Check whether you got 2005 AND 2008 AND 2012 in both x86 and x64 variants.
It works now. I installed Anno 1404 which also installed some vcredist stuff and afterwards re-installed Titan Quest. Now it runs fine. :-)
