Hi!

I dug through my back catalog to check what to play besides Grim Dawn. So I came up with it's cousin. ;)

It plays nicely, but something about my Dream + Defense feels clunky or too passive. Still just one active skill, IIRC, so I jumped onto my other favorite: Pet classe (Grim Dawn main is a summoner) and went for Spirit. Works nicely, only undead give me a hard time, due to being resistant to my life drain. (Having altitis on those games is curse and blessing at once :D ). When the toon gets to lvl 8 I want to take Nature as second mastery, for more pets and support auras. Seems close to the Occultist + Shaman in Grim Dawn.
Now I'm not sure which direction to take in the long run. I started out with Str + Int, but I am afraid to run into similar problems as with my first toon: Not enough Dex for better spears, not enough Str for bigger armor. :-/

So when it comes down to Soothsayers, what is the better choice? Going for Staves and long distance (Hoping future pets will overcome the aggro drawn by spells) or getting your hands dirty and tank for your pets (the lich is long distance?) with big armor and weapons, going for strength with an intelligence splash every now and then?

PS: What are more active combinations of classes? Had an eye on the rogue to pair it with something. As I said... Altitis. :D
