Long time TQ addict here. Blowing off some steam regarding the new class. The class is decent and my Runesmith is fun to play. The new content has all the full (and silly) voice acting you expect. Numerous quests and varied areas (although the fog effects are awful on my 2008 Nvidia laptop GPU). Lots of new enemies, etc.
But I recommend you avoid Runemaster for now. At least until we get the 1.50 patch that Steam has had for a week. I have farmed Epic/Legendary items for about a week now. I have complete sets of all the blue sets that drop in Epic pre-Norse maps. If you play a lot you know how long that takes. All of them have +Skill for the old classes. Rogues, Hunters, Dream, etc.
Not one single Runemaster item. Not a one. I keep thinking it's just RNG, veteran that I am. And I have had a report of a single Legendary shield with Runeword: Absorb. But I refuse to believe that I am experiencing the worst run of RNG in the history of ARPGs. I get the distinct impression they simply ran out of time to itemize the new class, or they only added items to the new maps for the same reason. It's infuriating because, as you know if you play TQ a lot, at higher levels you NEED to be geared appropriately for your class. I'm angry because I "had faith" and continued to grind hard thinking it's just my RNG. Now I feel burned. I'll go back and start another class, but half the point was to try out the new synergies.
