Hi there.

I've been playing the game and I noticed that the movement speed of my character is inconsistent.

At first I thought it was related to the stuttering and lag that I also had from time to time.
I used the first solution from this post:
while the stuttering was reduced sightly (but not completely) the movement speed still didn’t work right.

When I go through doors and narrow corridors or I turn some corners the running speed is reduced, sometimes so much that the characters looks like it’s sliding.
I’ve discarded any effects by enemies because this happens even in empty parts of the game that are “clean”.

In case it’s useful this is my PC configuration:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory: 32768MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Dedicated Memory: 4034 MB
1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I play with everything on High but with antialias, vsync and triple buffer disable.
Game speed is set to “normal”.

Any possible solution?

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem and I tried adjusting the video settings on LOW or MED and eventually changed some settings on MED. Another change I did was switch from WIDE-SCREEN to 4:3 dimensions. The game is fine for me except that it gets a little slow when a lot of enemies are on the screen and that's about it. It is minor so I just tolerate it. Try adjusting your video settings more and maybe it will help. I'm using Win10 64bit, Intel i7-6700 cpu, Intel 530 Graphics, 1920x1080 screen.
To both of you, turn Vsync on (and maybe triple buffering as well). That should fix your issues and you should be able to turn the other graphics options up to high again.
BrokenBull, final_option, thanks for your replies.

I'll try your suggestion and I'll post a reply again with the results.

Edit: Okay I did a quick test turning on Vsync seems that fixed the problem! (with or without triple buffering active)
I should try for longer, just in case, but for now it seems that it works :)

Actually I already had Vsync on, but not Triple Buffering. I turned on Triple Buffering and there was a slight improvement, but not really noticeable. The slow down isn't really bad and the game is still very playable with it. What can I say? I'm playing on Intel Integrated Graphics, so I don't expect any game to play perfect. Someday I'll invest in a computer with NVIDIA GFX card. Anyway thank you for replying :)
Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I'm still having this issue regardless of V-Sync/ Triple Buffering enabled or disabled, and I guarantee it's not a PC speed or FPS issue. I'm running a GTX980 Ti and a Devil's Canyon i7. I'm playing with a friend and she can see my character sliding on her game from an entirely different PC, so that tells me that character move speed is actually being affected...not just a video issue. Any other suggestions or possibilities?

Update : Possibility that v-sync was not actually being enabled with in-game option. Forcing through drivers may have corrected the issue.
