When I create a character, the only thing that renders is their hair and the starting weapon, and trying to go ingame just leaves me with a floating hairstyle and no way to move. Clicking around does nothing but I can open the inventory and various menus. I've tried many things to fix it.

Pressing "K" to reset the character does nothing, resetting the game, verifying file integrity, trying the legacy version, using windows 7 compatibility, even installing the game with the standalone files instead of through Galaxy, nothing has any affect.

This is really annoying and I can't even find anyone else on the internet with this same problem. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.

Could try these and see if anything helps.

Restart the store client and make sure you're connected to the internet. (Steam, GoG, Epic Games)
Run TQ.exe in admin mode.
Verify files with the store client you're using (e.g. Steam)
Restart computer
Update the graphics card (GPU) drivers
Update Windows
Reinstall the game and delete all folders and files related to TQ. (make backups of your save files first).
Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework (see guide on internet)
Reinstall Visual C++ Redistributable (see guide on internet)

Could be a problem at the GOG end though since the game hasn't had any updates for a while now. If nothing works, then I'd contact GOG support and see what they say.
