So I have a *slightly different* bifrost bridge bug than has been reported elsewhere.

The upshot is, I can't get walk past Heimdall and Odin on the bifrost bridge. If I save and come back in, Donar appears, but nothing else changes of substance.

My save is right before I talk to Heimdall (is that the origin of the bug? I needed to talk to Heimdall before quitting and coming back in?) I happen to have backed up my save at that point, but my previous backup is much earlier.

I've tried, of course, saving and leaving the game (either before or after talking to Heimdall). I found one suggestion to delete a bunch of .que files - this had the effect of messing the game up severely but when I was able to reach the bridge, I still couldn't cross it.

I can get part way across the bridge by making portals and clicking on them. Unfortunately, I can't control where those appear and I can only get partway across the bridge before they start showing up behind me.

I'm not sure what else to try...

EDIT: Okay, for whatever reason, running the repair tool fixed it.
