Hi Everyone,

I am having a strange issue with the Atlantis pack.

I completed Anniversary Edition short of two side quests. I then installed Atlantis. The game launch screen changed from the Anniversary Edition to Atlantis, so I assume there is no problem with the installation.

However the game always start me in the Prison of Souls. Although I defeated Hades and completed the game, it starts me at Prison of Souls as if I haven't completed it. I thought that there could be something wrong with the save game, I went on and defeated Hades once again.
Then I went to Rhodes, went to Atlantis, activated the portal and the rebirth shrines until the Necropolis. However, when I saved the game and exited, upon start, it throws me back to the Prison of Souls. I tried going back to some random point in the game and died there on purpose. I exited the game, started again and the game starts me in the Prison of Souls.

Is there anyone who ran into the same issue? Any ideas that you can advise to overcome the issue?

Try verifying the game files. Also are you using cloud saving?

Yes, I am using cloud saves.

Edit: Verified the game files, rebooted. Same issue.

Edit 2: Seems that the issue is about Windows Security blocking access to %Documents%\My Games folders per ransomware protection. I am eating my brain for the past few days, but this might be the root cause.

Yes, anti-virus programmes do tend to cause problems. Exclude the game from being checked by it.

Turn off cloud saving, the game doesn't like it.

Steam Cloud DOES NOT work 100% of the time with Titan Quest. It may work for awhile, but the sync will glitch at some point and you WILL lose the progress you've made.

In addition there is a current problem with Steam Cloud in that it doesn't show the pop up that would warn you that your local save does not match the Steam Cloud save. So when you save, the Steam Cloud save overwrites your local data. Result: Lost Progress.

Disable Steam Cloud to save yourself the headaches that come with it not working with the game."
