So I've completed the game earlier today, and I was wondering how many different endings there are? There are essentially 6 that I've seen:
1) The guardian captures you. (This can happen in a number of ways.)
2) You put yourself into stasis.
3) You put the genetic synthesis thing on the Timegate, destroying it. The ship starts a countdown and blows up. No way to escape, as far as I can see.
4) You put the genetic synthesis thing on the pedestal, shooting the outpost up into space. You stay on the ship. The guardian is repaired and puts you into stasis.
5) You put the genetic synthesis thing on the pedestal, shooting the outpost up into space. You use the escape pod, staying on earth. You end up a millionaire. Yay!
6) You put the 3 genetic pods on the Timegate, destroying it. You die on the ship.
- Are there more endings?
- Can you actually give the guy (Alexander) anything at all? I tried everything I could think of, but he always responds with: "Thank you. I am grateful to be leaving, believe me. But you sent me back with nothing. Only fantastic stories."
- It does not seem to matter what you do with Alexander. Even if you do not save him, the endings assume that you did. (The papers will say that his grandson is thankful that you saved Alexander.)
