Just wondering but, is the voice-over not included with this version?

Tried to show a friend and we both stared at the movie, and she said, interesting but what is it? I thought, there should be a voice-over to explain all that...

It really sets up the game nicely and without it, well a new player won't get it.
I've never played a version with a voice over :O I'd be interested to hear it!

You can find it on youtube. See if this link works:

Somehow, youtube has been flooded with new recordings of the intro, only none of the new ones have the voice-over. Wonder if it has anything to do with GOG? Nah...

BTW, if you haven't heard this, you haven't played the real game.

There's a comment in that YouTube link that throws some light on this:

Albert Wesker
The North American version, published by Activision, was the only one to have speech in the intro. This was a decision by Activision since originally the intro didn't have any speech, and hence the European versions are like that. I guess you had a North American version and what you downloaded was an European version.
My 199X european PC boxed version hasnt voice over intro, only music
