Hi, what is the meaning of the numbers on the upright of each mission (usually 18 in the beginning, same color as the mission)? They are always on the citymap but I cannot figure them out.

I believe they are a countdown, indicating how much longer this mission will be available. Most missions are available until the end of the current chapter, but a number of missions are available only for a few turns.
