If thronebreaker stutters for you like it did for me during gameplay its most likely the drivers are at fault. When I updated my nvidia drivers from 419.35 to 419.67 the stutter was completely eliminated and I was able to play the game smoothly. If that doesn't work try to completely uninstall (DDU) and reinstall your graphic drivers.

My thronebreaker settings does have vsync off and fullscreen on in case your curious about my ingame video settings. I'm using a gtx 980 card too. I've been looking for a fix for this when i started playing Thronebreaker again since i encoutered this microstutter during its release and that made it hard to enjoy the game as every two steps that Meve walked the screen would hitch. I'm glad its finally gone and I hope this helps anyone else out there having this issue.
