Okay, i'm pretty pissed right now.

I am currently at the last act. There is a big castle, where some cat lady lives, who wont give me her ballistas, and i can either take the castle or walk.

I accidently choose ''dont take castle''. OK, no big deal, lets just click again and remake the choice.

What do you think? You can't! One misclick and the game is 100% unbeatable. Because of autosave and all.

Now don't get me wrong. Autosave is okay in this kind of game, when it matters and when it is stipulates for the sense of the plot.

Like, there are choices, which you can't do twice, like ''steal gold or not, kill this guy or not, NOT to take castle which i have already taken''.

But why on Earth can't i return to a castle or nilf camp, when i didn't do anything?

Strangely enough, there ARE some choices, that can be remade, and they are of the same nature - if you choose not to do anything, you CAN return later to this place and make a positive decision.

Actually, the next, i mean, like, NEXT castle you can approach as many times as you like and choose "not to attack''.
Queen just says ''okay we will attack it another day''. So what is the problem with doing the same with the old lady castle?

Now, when the game is beaten for 80+%, i don't have a slightest desire to continue. Just because i can't reach its full content and beat everything, which takes away the whole point of playing the game.
At this rate, why dont just rush towards main objective, ignoring everything else, missing plot content as well as power rewards?

I would really like CDPR to make this right, and give us some possibility to return to places and do what is supposed to be done. And i personally going to wait to this monent to continue from taking the castle at last.

It is a shame, that this overall nice game has so many upsets, including numerous bugs and crahes.

The game is supposed to work in the same way as a "Roguelike" RPG.
Only one save. No turning back. No "scumsave".

Once you choose a path it's forever. But you shouldn't be so angry about it. Some good choices that you make earlier in the game can become a "poisoned gift" later on.

Just enjoy the experience as if it were real life. You only get one chance.

I get it alright, and i like this system overall.

I am just pointing out, that some ''choices'' are logically ''no choices'' at all, and there would be no logical problem with returning later to this point. even in ''almost roguelike'' game.

As i said. there are some places in game, where you can return later. Although they usually dont have extra plot text to them, and mostly about "do nothing / gain some gold and lose some army moral'', they still exist.

Actually, the next, i mean, like, NEXT castle you can approach as many times as you like and choose "not to attack''.

Added this part in op-post.

And i care not about gaining some in-game values, but about reading the whole story, and making choices, which i believe are right from moral perspective.

In this particular case, i really wanted to listen to this old lady after i take her castle, and then to execute her, if possible. And now i can't.
So the final result of my game is not really result of my willful choices, but of a misclick.

And it makes me sad.
