Still not working.

Windows 10 Enterprise
Geforce gtx 970

I tried:
-Windowed mode
-Changing the compatabliity mode
-Updating graphic card drivers

Nothing worked thus far.

lansky.: Had the same issue and what I did was downloading Windows Media Feature Pack. I have N version of windows that doesn't include that pack. Be sure to check if you have that installed.

Remember... you need to install the Media Feature Pack for your Windows 10 Version. If you already have Version 1803,
you have to download the Feature Pack v1803 (x86 or x64).

There are some older versions as well.

You can check your Windows 10 Version in the command line with "winver -i".
I have lastest version Windows 10 Pro N 1809 from October 2018. MS rolled-out Media Pack for this version some days ago (probably they have some issues) :/ So I won't be able to play until MS will publish new Media Pack for 1809

first black screen after the launch cut scene - alt+f4
then i got into the game and another blackscreen, could only hear birds chirping

I actually get stuck on the cdproject red screen..

Workaround for me.

Closed steam and GOG galaxy

Ran thronebreaker directly via desktop....seemed to do the trick in my case (although previously I didnt even hear any vocals so may be different issue)

This one is really strange. First time i heard the voice and got subtitles. I easily could get to the menu that I have seen. Wanted to change the language and tried to do some fixes i have seen in this thread. Now after initial static screen I hear no voice/can't skip to menus at all
