I started the game and I automatically got this story with Adam and his sick daughter. However, I had to learn everything for the first time and I got shot after 12 or so, during scavenging. Game over. Ok, I knew there is permadeath in this game, that is not my issue. I just want to try to play this scenario again, practice some more with one charcter before i move on to the other scenario's. But this story seems to be just... gone!
So can anybody tell me how to restart this?

i think that is a bug in the game 'Soundtrack Edition' and you have to buy the DLC if you will play it again.

Meanwhile i discovered that this story indeed is a DLC, named Father's Promise. However, when you first start the Soundtrack Edition, you only have one option, namely clicking a button named Survive and then this is how the game starts. Only the second time you start the game, you have the other options . However, I've reinstalled the game, so I can play Father's Promise again! If you think of it as a bug, well in that case, I don't mind this particular bug.
