I've installed This War of Mine, and I'm unable to run the game.

After launching the game I get a blank screen accompanied by an 'Input not supported' message on-screen. Is this a problem with the game or my screen setup? I've never encountered this problem with a game before in the two years with this PC. I wonder if anyone else has encountered a similar problem.

Running on Windows 7 64, i3-3225, Radeon HD7700.

Plenty of people on Steam forum had it.
The thing with this game (and Anomaly games) is that the game always runs on a highest resolution available in the system, so if the resolution can not be displayed by the screen, you'll either get a black screen or a message that monitor can't handle it.

Here's a way to workaround it (hopefully it works as well on DRM-Free version):
1. Download this config file and extract it.
2. Go to a folder:
%APPDATA%\11bitstudios\This War Of Mine
or manually:
C:\Users\<your windows username>\AppData\Roaming\11bitstudios\This War Of Mine
3. Replace the existing config file with the one from PCGW.
4. Start the game. It should be working in a windowed mode. Do not enable fullscreen mode. Instead, if you really want to play on a fullscreen, use Borderless Gaming to make the game run in borderless fullscreen windowed mode.

Spot on. My aging monitor couldn't hack the resolution. The game is running perfectly in windowed mode now.

I have the same problem but i just get a black screen, nothing else, and then i can do nothing.The only solution is to force restart my computer.
I tried the solution above and the game starts but again with problems. Firstly i dont want to play on a window and secondly the graphics are broken and the only thing i see is the option "survive".

So any other fix? or we just wait for a patch?

Patch 1.1.0 was released today, which changes fullscreen behavior, so the issue should now be fixed (although who knows how long it'll take till Patch appears on GOG).
