So, I bought Thief. Fire it up. Menu is there. Everything's fine.
Except, I cannot play. When I try to play the game just freezes. I exit the program and try again, several times, but the game will not play.

Windows 7 64bit.
Try the patches in the sticky at the top of the forum.
Oh bollocks. I've been trying like crazy, but it does not seem to work.
The game just spits me out when I try to start the game in some manner. No error, no nothing.

This was one of the reasons I was going to get the GOG version, to NOT have to do stuff like this.
One of my PC's I installed on would hang every time it tried to play. Uninstalling any codec packs seemed to fix the problem for me.
