When I try launching the game, the screen goes black but the audio still works and I can still move my mouse in the menu. Help, please!

The one in Thief:Gold is called cam.cfg but I can't open it.

no, it's cam_ext.cfg, and you need to open in with a text editor such as notepad.

or you can simply install the latest TFix from the sticky, it will allow you to disable anti aliasing during the install process.
