Gman217: An interesting note, Thief kept crashing on me if I used the K-Lite codec pack, but as soon as I deleted it, it ran fine.
That's probably due to xvidvfw.dll file. If you run Codec Tweak Tool and disable filters using it (Xvid MPEG-4, YV12) you should be able to run Thief with K-Lite installed.

I believe it is mentioned under in Support notes for TG.

I get this problem on my macbook. Game runs fine on my windows machine. But i sort of got it so i can play it on my netbook (old macbook which i use as a netbook) since it can be played with just a keyboard and has old graphics.

I hope it gets fixed soon.

Which problem?

They released a new build two days ago that will not crash at that point of the install.
