Hello,

So I installed Thief Gold without any problems and the intro cutscene works fine. But after I click on New Game and start the training, all of the display is crammed into a rather small rectangle at the upper left corner of the screen. This rectangle does change slightly depending on the resolution the game is set at. Does anyone have any fixes for an issue like this?

Let's try some standard things:

Make sure all older components of DirectX9 are present by installing this:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Update your graphics driver.

Try TFix; See here:
http://www.gog.com/forum/thief_series/tgfix_widescreen_resolutions_fixedimproved_graphics_etc

Try running the game as Administrator (right-click the game's shortcut => Run as ..)

Also try compatibility modes for Windows XP or Windows 7 (right-click the game's shortcut => Properties => Compatibility tab)

I'm trying to install TFix now, but everytime I choose a folder in which to put TFix in, it gives me this message that I've attached below.

make sure the exe filename is thief.exe, not thief_nd.exe or anything.
