We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Features:

- No loading zones or blue fog in all nine proper missions (excl. the Inn tutorial)
- Re-designed transition zones (as faithful to the game as possible)
- Various fixes of broken/incomplete patrols, missing shadow-casting, un-ghostable AI positions
- Fixed Keeper enforcers, especially on HARD/EXPERT
- Reduced ambient fog
- Removed transition zone symbol from hand-drawn maps
- From the Sneaky Upgrade side the game was tweaked to allow slightly larger maps (content-wise) which was necessary for the Cradle and Museum maps

Plans for the future:

- Turning the tutorial mission into a proper mission on HARD/EXPERT (this is a lot of work)
- Tweaking/balancing remaining bugs etc.
- Including proper briefing videos
- Including proper hand-drawn maps (artists, volunteer!)
- Proper tweaking UI for the Sneaky Upgrade (AI awareness, equipment prices, HUD and font sizes etc.)
- Tweaking the movement of Garrett, maybe altered mesh
- Whatever comes up

What probably won't happen:

- Getting rid of City section loading zones (might work for small sections like Garrett's house or Fort Ironwood, but is a hassle in general because of the maps' complexity)
- Rope arrows and swimmable water
- Proper Pagan dialects

Sounds great but I'm a little confused. What is currently available to download? Is it a MOD or a whole new rerelease?
it's a set of bugfixed/overhauled maps that all owners of the full game can play as a FM (fan mission).

Thank you sir. I love T3 but it always did seem a tad rushed. Of course, following T2 is like following Hendrix; no matter what happens you aren't going to look good. :D
Great news, voodoo. You are one of the premier Thief mavens.
So can you combine this with Sneaky Upgrade but what install order is required or did I misunderstand anything?
It's recommended to install the Sneaky Upgrade for various reasons, one of them being that it includes FMSel, a modern fan mission loader, which allows to easily install and play those maps.

Do you plan to convert the sound files to Openal so that we can use EAX? Also, one thing you should defiantly work on is the movement; characters shouldn't look like tanks when they turn.
How exactly do i install it?
the sneaky update includes a FM selector that can be used for this.
Wow, great news. After playing Thief 1 and 2 i was kind of disappointed. I have finished just first 2 missions before i had to uninstall it. Thanks a lot, i really have to give it a try. Is this addon fan made or is it official? will this be added for for free on GOG when it will be finished or it will be downloadable for free?
It's fan made. Might be included when it's complete, of course I can't tell for sure as I'm just an average user… but I believe they did so with voodoo47's map fixes for Thief Gold, so why not?
it's fanmade - today, everything is. I doubt GOG will us it officially, not in the foreseeable future anyway - it will probably be available just like Tafferpatcher and TFix, in a form of easily installable executable.

I just hope that someday, sometime we will see the rope arrows return (swimmable water is not that big of a deal, as the levels are not made with swimmable water in mind, so there are very few places where swimming would actually make sense, if any).

Me too.
