Apparently there isn't an up to date mod guide for Thief 2 that I can find, because after downloading the latest Tafferpatch (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131106) and the HD Mod (http://www.moddb.com/mods/thief-2-hd-texture-mod) I cannot get it to work. Anyone have a up to date guide or can help me with this? Thanks in advance.

well, you run the first installer, then you run the second, and once that's done, you play the game.
