After installing TFix I can't walk or sneak up steps, eg: the steps to the door in the first room of the training mission. It also makes getting out of water difficult. I can still run and jump up stairs, but this solution is sub-optimal.

In both the Steam and Gog versions of Thief Gold I can walk up steps fine before installing TFix, but not after. I have tried with both TFix 1.27 and 1.26a.

The bug happens on both my desktop (Intel i5, RTX 2060) and laptop (Intel i7, MX250), both running Windows 10. The problem does not seem to be caused by walk being toggled on, as the movement speed is the same whether the bug is present or not.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply, but the problem persists.

Deleting user.bnd just resets the keys to the TFix default, which oddly doesn't bind anything to 'Walk Forward', and doesn't bind 's' to anything, yet holding 's' causes you to walk forward, but at a pace slightly slower than of walking while crouched, and with the pronounced head-bob of walking crouched (but still not actually crouched).

Still can't walk up steps though. Also can't walk up steps having bound 'Walk Forward' to 's', despite being able to walk up steps with 'Walk Forward' bound to 's' before TFix. I have also found that after TFix I can't go up stairs walking backwards, or sliding left or right, whereas I can do so before installing TFix. This change happens with both default and custom key-binds.

So thanks for your suggestion, though. Do you have any other ideas?
I posted in the steam topic, I'm guessing you are the same guy, as there is pretty much no way 2 people on this planet would have that same weird issue, I have to admit I have a hard time even imagining it.

Yeah, that's me. I'll play around with the files from the different versions and keep replying there.

Cheers.
