I bought a new external hard drive and shuffled all the GOG games I had installed on my old External to the new one.

When I went to boot up Thief 3, I can't load any of the save games, even though the SAVES folder is sitting in the new directory!

How do I get my saves back? I've just started Keeper's Compound and REALLY don't want to have to replay the whole game again...

It's likely that your registry SaveGamePath value is wrong. You can get it set by (re)installing the Sneaky Upgrade, in the installer tick the box labelled "change the savegames registry key and path". Then browse to the correct location when prompted.

Note that you must select the SAVES folder - not the SaveGames folder it contains!

If you've not previously used the Sneaky Upgrade I'd recommend that you install the 'fat' edition - but you'll have to disable the T3 Gold mod either in the installer or the tweak tool, because original saves are not compatible.

There's a fat beta here, which has improved Garrett animations.
Thanks for the reply. I was already running the Sneaky Mod, didn't think of re-installing.

I actually fixed teh issue by re-assigning the new external the same drive letter as the old- once I did that, the svegames showed up again.
