Well, does it? I know TGfix is for Thief Gold and TafferPatcher is for Thief: TMA.

I own Thief: The Dark Project and Thief: the Metal Age on disc. It's fabulous that the thief series has splash-landed on GOG; long overdue. However, for various small reasons I'm one of the few who actually prefers The Dark Project to Thief Gold.

So can I run this program and avail myself of the tweaks, upgrades, etc on a TDP installation the same way I could on Thief Gold?

should work, but you will need to get an original thief exe (ddfix patched). copy it over after applying TGfix and you should be good.
Yeah, worked like a charm. The only additional step needed was to manually copy all the movies from the game disc to the movies folder of TDP's installation dir. Game looks and plays much better than my last go of it.

The only quirk is an odd moving "tripwire" effect on certain floors, usually sewers and waterways, but it's a minor, non-gamebreaking issue.

Thanks for your efforts in bringing up-to-date OS gameplay tweaks and upgrades of Thief to the masses, Voodoo.
that probably means the new water surface is not loaded properly. can't figure out why it's not working for some people. do you have a RES\ddfix\t2water folder with *.dds files in your thief install folder?

Yes.
go to mods\FAM\WATERHW and remove all files that start with "BL" and "GR", and "FULL.PCX" as well, that will give you the original water.
