Thanks out4space, I'm so glad you enjoyed my videos! And thanks for pointing me to this forum, I googled for walkthroughs and faq's (not many out there) but didn't think to check out the gog forum.

To be honest, I was pretty surprised I was able to do so well haha. I've been playing this game for longer than I care to admit, but I think I'm more strategic as an adult player (it's been at least a few years since I last played).

If anyone has any questions or suggestions on some better strategy, please feel free to post them here or in my videos and I'll do my best to answer. My 100% happiness video was more of a walkthrough of my "ultimate" design, but I was thinking of putting together a proper guide or tips/tricks video if there's any interest. I know it's an older game, but it's such a classic and I'll always love it.

Heya Aly,

glad you found some time to stop by.

All input and ideas are really appreciated. The game is still a hard nut for many who start it up the first time.
There is technical difficulties, like setting dosbox to lower cycles or simply that the game randomly crashes (which requires one to save often).

Anyway I had no real comparison to how I layout my park for example and there are few videos and guides in a whole.
So after all this time it is really great to share ideas actively.
There are the gamefaqs (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/564716-theme-park/faqs), where only one from 1995 and one for the DS are presented (never owned a DS).
The 1995 is somewhat helpful, but also not as good.

Thanks for joining and hope you will find some more time to hand out some tips to add. to the list (the first post already covers a lot and mine later too) .

Cheers

out4space aka Chris
hi thanks for the great tips and videos i am hooked to this game
I love this game but I couldn't find how to finish the first stage England.
What is the goal and is there any setting I should set up at the beginning?
I used to play by Japanese Ver. in Nintendo DS, so I couldn't find the way...
-2000 Audience in the park?
-Rank 1. in all categories?

Never happened to me yet

Heya,

these kind of "progression goals" do not apply for the original game.

This kind of gameplay was added in the process by current "standards" of playing a game (achievements), while porting the game to the DS and the like.

The original game has no such goals.
You "progress" by selling your park at a high price, than select a new region you play.

Cheers

Thanks for the advice!
It's very reassuring.
I see, the DS and the original are different!
(What a time-killing game!)
We've managed to buy a plot of land for a theme park in the UK.
(What a time-killer!) We've managed to buy the land for the UK theme park, but we haven't managed to sell the theme park itself yet.
The customer satisfaction level is almost100 (the blue line is filled).
If I keep on accumulating money, will I be able to sell it in time?
And when the money is accumulated, we can develop other countries?

Cheers,ever!

Haha yeah I know. Well the game is from the 90s, so there was not much of a standard you expect today. Most classic games are open ended and have neither guiding nor checkpoints or whatever you are used to today. That resulted in more sophisticated standards for gameplay, which originates from PS1/XBox. Which was than quickly adapted to PC. But that was early 2000s afaik.

Answering your question(s):
1. you sell your park at the end of the year when there is the sell park button available.
2. all assets are liquidized (all stocks and cash plus selling price)
3. After it is sold, the worlmap opens automatically and you can select a new location or the same, if you want to. The process is always the same. Also the hideous and cringe part of the buying the land after idk 3 or 5 years or so. Buying the land is really a great way saving money (taxes).

On a side note... The creator (Peter Molyneux) of the game had great ideas, but they were not all thought through till the end. Also the game needs, 27 years later too, a lot patching and it will probably never be patched at all. Might be a law problem, who has the right for the code, the right for the license etc... its a terrible cluster f*** about this topic. This is why Nightdive Studios is doing tthe System Shock remake and the enhanced versions etc now, because they got the licenses for everything (code, brand, etc.)

Cheers

Dear out4space,
thank you so so much,
finally, I found a way to sell my park, and now I can go to other countries!
It was very hard for me to find out without Japanese!

So classical game but I love
I cannot sell Peru, but no one will buy it. I have been going many years with it. What do I need to do to sell it?

ForBarterOnly: When you order also keep in mind that it takes at least 75 ingame days until you get your order, so it is good to know your average sales per month to make sure you won't run out of stock before the new shipment reaches you.
Remembering frequently to order your supplies can be quite a hassle, especially early on when you do not have a large enough warehouse buffer to survive missing an order.

There's a small but random +/- days added to each order that averages to that 75 day mark. You can only have one order of each supply incoming at a time - and you do not pay for the order until it arrives. It's a bit cheaty, but since you're also doing the pause thing while ordering, you can also 'shop around' for the best delivery date by repeatedly ordering the same item over and over until you get an acceptably low delivery date (or at least not an outrageously delayed one, as you can occasionally, but rarely, get dates an additional month or two on top of the avg 2.5 months already). Since you do not actually pay for the shipment until it arrives, you're not losing anything (so far as I can tell) by redoing orders until you find one that is acceptable.

Just a suggestions:
- close your Park down for a whole year to drop the price
- demolish it, delete all rides and the like
