BTW, there's a note on how to make the GOG-version of the game run better (still not perfect, though, I feel this game needs an update):

Open dosbox_tp.conf (in the game directory) in Notepad, scroll to the CPU part and change cycles=fixed 10000 to cycles=fixed 3000 . Save & play the game in high resolution (press R during gameplay to change resoluteion).
